RELIGIOUS FREEDOM IN
THE EU
In the EU,
"Freedom of Religion" means Freedom of Religion for everyone.
Freedom of religion and
belief is a guarantee by the EU for freedom of belief for
individuals and
freedom of worship for individuals and groups. It is considered by
the EU to be a fundamental right. The Universal Declaration of Human
Rights defines freedom of religion and belief as follows:
Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and
religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or
belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in
public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching,
practice, worship, and observance.
In the EU, you will feel at ease to practice the religion you want.
Let this list help you to choose a country where your
co-religionists are
well-represented.
